Description


Join the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC as we hear from Pennsylvania Senator Dawn Keefer (31) and Neal Lesher, Government Affairs Director for the PA Chamber of Business & Industry. Senator Keefer and Neal will discuss data center development from a government and business perspective as the sector looks to expand in the Commonwealth. 

The Policy Pulse Speaker Series offers a monthly forum where officials from all levels of government, as well as leaders of business advocacy groups, discuss the current public policy landscape. Join us for engaging discussions led by distinguished speakers as they discuss their policy priorities relative to those of the regional business community, analyze pressing issues, and offer insights into the impact of public policy on the region and the Commonwealth. From local to national perspectives, each meeting promises to spark meaningful dialogue and broaden perspectives on the ever-evolving realm of public policy.



About Our Speakers


Pennsylvania Senator Dawn Keefer (31)

Pennsylvania State Senator Dawn Keefer serves the 31st District in York and Cumberland Counties. A former small business owner and founder of the Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus, Senator Keefer advocates for limited government and fiscal conservatism, working to reduce regulations, cut spending, and enhance transparency to empower Pennsylvania’s families and businesses.

Senator Keefer serves as the chair of the Senate Local Government Committee and the Vice Chair of the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee. She is also a member of the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, Education, Finance, Intergovernmental Operations, and Law and Justice committees.


Neal Lesher

Neal Lesher joined the PA Chamber as a Government Affairs Director in October of 2022.

Prior to joining the PA Chamber, Lesher served in senior leadership positions with the state House of Representatives, including serving as Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House and as the Director of Policy and Communications for the Appropriations Committee Chairman. He also has executive branch experience, serving as the Legislative Director for the Governor's Budget Office under the Corbett Administration. Lesher also worked for the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) as their Legislative Director.
