As Chair of the Senate Communications and Technology Committee, she is at the center of the policy debates surrounding Pennsylvania's rapidly growing data center industry. Join us as Sen. Pennycuick shares her perspective on data centers and what their growth means for Pennsylvania's economy, energy grid, and communities.
About Sen. Pennycuick
Sen. Tracy Pennycuick was elected to the Pennsylvania Senate in 2022. She represents the 24th District, which includes parts of Berks and Montgomery counties. She has been a champion for advancing legislative initiatives to create jobs, support our veterans and law enforcement, improve education, and stop excessive government spending.
She serves as the Chair of the Communications and Technology Committee and Vice Chair of the Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee, as well as a member of the Aging & Youth, Appropriations, Finance, Judiciary and Law and Justice committees. She also serves on the PA Military Community Enhancement Commission, PA National Guard Youth Challenge Advisory Board, PA Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, and the Advisory Council for the Southeastern Veterans’ Center.
As Chair of the Communications and Technology Committee, she is committed to fostering innovation while protecting Pennsylvanians from disinformation and digital threats.
Prior to being elected to the Senate, she served the 147th House District in the General Assembly in 2020.
Sen. Pennycuick served in the U.S. Army, both active and reserves, for 26 years. Upon retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel, she started a small business in aviation consulting. In addition to consulting, she served three years as the Director of Veterans Affairs for Montgomery County. She continues to serve on various veteran boards in the community.
