Job Purpose for the Business Development Officer
The Business Development Officer is responsible for training new and current lending partners on home and program guidelines anrequirements. This person will also represent the Agencat various eventwhile marketing and promoting PHFA products across the Commonwealth to consumers, housing partners and government entities.
Essential Functions for the Business Development Officer
  • Maintaining a physical presence at the office is required to collaborate with team members. A hybrid work schedule may be obtained at a later time.
  • Schedule, arrange, and present face to face training sessions and conduct webinar meetings for partnering lenders to keep them informed on PHFA guidelines regarding loan origination, processing, underwritingclosing anpost-closing
  • Represent PHFA at various conferences, regional trainings, meetings and homebuyer events. Thiincludes delivering presentations and/or setting up and staffing a display tablfor the purpose of distributing marketing materials and discussing the programs with potential and current partners plus consumers.
  • Develop and maintain documents, marketinmaterials, and trainintools (PowerPointsflyers, brochuresetc.) for presentationsevents and the PHFA website.
  • Speak publicltrepresent the Agency by traveling to community and/or legislative eventsforums, panels, and trainings throughout the Commonwealth. This ofterequires evenings, overnight and occasional weekend travel.
  • Assist witrespondinto Divisions general email antelephone inquiries.
  • Maintain an on-going communication including on-site visits as well as written communication with PHFAs current lending partners as an “Account Advisor”.  The goal ito provide excellent customer serviceas well as tensure compliance with PHFA loan product guidelines.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of assigned lenders reports on productivity, loan deficiencies and more.
  • Contribute conceptsideas, and suggestions to Business Development Unit meetings to help organize various division events and marketing efforts.
  • Process new participating lender applications.
  • Assist lenderwith specific problemand issuerelated to program guidelineand loan requirementswhicmarequircustomized onsitpresentations and/or webinartmaintain Homeownershistandards.
  • Prepare monthlactivitreportand other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
 
Education/Experience for the Business Development Officer 
Associates degree or higher preferred. Related experience in marketing, pipeline managementtraining, and public speaking.
Knowledge/Skills for the Business Development Officer : 
  • Good analytical and investigative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient and experienced public speaking skills.
  • Ability to multitasand having effective time management skills are imperative.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability tshare creativideas and brainstorm when needed.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office includinWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher, AS400 anWebEx experience is a plus.
  • Be willing to travelincluding overnight as well as occasional weekends.
