The April CBW+ will feature Ellen Min, SVP and Chief Equity Officer at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, as she discusses Overcoming Internalized Stereotypes and Breaking Barriers at Work. Join Ellen on her personal journey to understand the internalized stereotypes she carried and unknowingly fulfilled and the steps she took to break barriers to find authenticity. This session will provide space for meaningful reflection and personal strategies to advocate for belonging.

Meet the Speaker!
Ellen Min
SVP Chief Equity Officer
Central Pennsylvania Food Bank
Ellen Min is a second-generation, Korean American woman. Her intersectional identities are the foundation of her leadership in education, equity, and the community.
Originally from the city of Philadelphia, she found her way to Central Pennsylvania through her studies at Dickinson College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Secondary Education Teaching Certification. She went on to receive her Master of Arts in Humanities and Educational Leadership Certification from Penn State University. Ellen had a nearly twenty year career in education as a high school English teacher at Cumberland Valley, Harrisburg City, Derry Township, and Commonwealth Charter Academy, a school leader of St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, and an equity practitioner at Reach Cyber Charter School. She is currently the Senior Vice President/Chief Equity Officer for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and an adjunct professor at Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
Ellen’s passion extends to her community and is actively engaged in creating inclusive spaces of belonging. She served on the board of Leadership Harrisburg Area, Diversity and Inclusion Professionals of Central PA, PA Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Network, and the Central PA Korean Association.
Ellen is currently a member of YPOC (Young Professionals of Color) and the co-founder and chair of HAAPI (Harrisburg Asian American Pacific Islanders).
