Conveniently located in downtown Harrisburg, Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts is Central Pennsylvania’s premier center for education and cultural enrichment. Whitaker Center is a thought leader in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) engagement for all ages and backgrounds.

Parking

The closest garage is the Walnut Street Garage ($12 for up to 2 hours). On-street, metered parking is also available  ($4/hour).

Finding the Space

If parking in the Walnut Street Garage, take the elevator to the Arcade Level.  Walk up the stairs from the elevators and the entrance to the Whitaker Center will be in front of you to the left. 

If parking on the street, the following options are available for entrance to the Whitaker Center.

1. Enter Strawberry Square at street level and take escalator to the 2nd floor.  Use the Arcade walkway to get to the Whitaker Center Entrance.  It will be on your left.
   
   
2.  Enter the Hilton Hotel at street level and take the elevator to the 2nd floor.  Use the Arcade walkway to get to the Whitaker Center entrance.  It will be on your right.
   
   
3. Use Court Street (the alley that runs parallel to/between 2nd & 3rd Streets) between Market and Walnut Streets to enter the Walnut Street Garage at the street level.  Take the elevator to Level A and follow the directions from there (as if you were parking in the garage).
