The Pittie Party is a FREE community event.

We will be celebrating and advocating for the often-misunderstood Pitbull-type dogs.

Pitbulls make up a large percentage of HSHA’s adoptable dog population so, we invite all animal lovers (and their leashed canine pals of all breeds) each year to join us for a free, fun-filled day celebrating breed equality.

Visitors can enjoy:

• Vendors for pets and owners
• Food and drink
• “Kiss-a-Bull” Photo Booth
• 50% off adoption fees of Pitbull type dogs
• Event T-Shirt Sales
• Kids activities by donation (face painting, pumpkin panting, adopt a stuffed dog)
• Raffle baskets

• Canine Costume Contest

  Dress up your pup and check-in to the costume contest table between 12:00pm and 1:30pm.

  We will take a photo of you and your pup and take the contest to SOCIAL MEDIA! Our Facebook fans will vote by “likes”- so get your friends and family ready to vote! Contest will start Saturday at 4:00pm and run through Monday at 12:00pm. Winners will be announced Monday afternoon. Pet Owners will be contacted to come pick up their prizes at the shelter that week!
