Feeling overwhelmed juggling work, family, and life? A rare disease diagnosis forced Marie Conley to hit pause, but it also ignited a journey of self-discovery. Learn how to prioritize, find joy in the daily grind, and rewrite your definition of success – with humor, resilience, and the power to find your own quiet roar!

ALL ARE WELCOME! Chamber Business Women+ (CBW+) promotes the progression and advancement of professional women through the education and sharing of ideas and experiences. We invite everyone (of all gender identities) who supports this mission to join the events.

Meet the Speaker!

Marie Conley's professional journey at Conley Consulting exemplifies the power of translating early passions into impactful results. Even from a young age, Marie's leadership potential shone through. Her childhood magic shows, and elaborate backyard programs weren't just play; they were the seeds of a strategic approach to project management, team building, and event orchestration that would blossom within her consulting firm. Today, Marie leverages these honed skills to empower individuals and organizations, fostering collaboration and achieving lasting success.

Conley Consulting stands as a testament to Marie's unique approach to consulting a blend of services that bridges the gap between passionate individuals and thriving workplaces. Her diverse experiences across government, non-profits, and the private sector have shaped her innovative thinking, emphasizing the power of storytelling. This approach transforms ideas into impactful events and projects, creating lasting ripples of loyalty and engagement.

Marie's professional journey is not just about event orchestration and project management. It's a personal one, from a backyard organizer to an accomplished consultant. This journey has equipped her with a unique perspective, akin to a social scientist, that brings a fresh understanding of human behavior. It fosters empathy and meaningful organizational connections, inspiring others to lead with empathy and purpose through her workplace engagement solutions.

While empathy and human connection have always been core values for Marie, facing a rare disease diagnosis in her early 30s solidified their profound importance. This experience crystallized how these elements are essential tools for navigating every aspect of life, including the workforce.

She shares her story of Cushing’s Disease with humor and resilience, advocating for early diagnosis and supporting patients through her foundation and board positions. Marie Conley is a living example of the transformative power of passion and perseverance. Through Conley Consulting, she weaves a legacy of impact, one ripple effect at a time.

Marie is the founder of The Conley Cushing’s Disease Fund, serves as Co-Chair of the PA Rare Disease Advisory Council, and sits on the PA Judicial Review Board and Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation. She received Governor Emerita status from the PA State System of Higher Education. She was recognized as one of the 50 Top Women Above and Beyond by City and State Pennsylvania in 2024, and in 2023, Marie's tireless commitment to her clients and her advocacy for rare disease patients earned her the esteemed Women of Excellence accolade from YWCA Greater Harrisburg. Marie and her husband, Chris Lammando, live in Elizabethtown, and their son, Carter, is in the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps at The Ohio State University.
