With locations in Carlisle, Camp Hill and Colonial Park/Harrisburg, the Mountz Jewelers story is built on a long-standing tradition in retail. Ron Leitzel and Tonia Leitzel Ulsh, the brother/sister team who own Mountz Jewelers, come from a family history of entrepreneurs.

The Leitzel family jewelry tradition began back in 1949, when Ron and Tonia’s father and uncle opened a retail jewelry and gift store in Millersburg, PA. In October 1979, the Leitzel family grew their retail business with the purchase of Mountz Jewelers in downtown Carlisle.

As a visionary Ron expanded Mountz Jewelers into other markets in Central Pennsylvania. Ron has always been a big picture entrepreneur. He wanted to develop a group of independent jewelry stores to provide personalized services and bring leading brands to the community in which he lived.

Tonia joined Mountz Jewelers in 1989 after attending the Gemological Institute in Santa Monica, CA to become a Graduate Gemologist. Tonia worked her way up in the business by demonstrating leadership skills and implementing new ideas. She continues to build the foundation on which Mountz Jewelers was built.

Together Ron and Tonia have brought top jewelry and watch designers to Central PA along with partnering directly with diamond cutters to hand select the most beautiful diamonds in the industry. They also continue to enhance the business with cutting edge technology and services to include custom design jewelry software and laser jewelry repairs.

Mountz Jewelers, and their 44 employees, has been recognized with multiple industry awards and is well respected by peers throughout the world.
