Description
You’re a great HR practitioner; you know your stuff! But have you ever felt derailed or frustrated for being held accountable for things over which you have little control and/or you tend to ‘butt’ heads with certain supervisors, managers or key leaders? Sound familiar? You’re not alone!
Join us as career development leader, Julie Shore, shares what she’s learned as a former HR leader, and career advisor for the past 25+ years. Specifically, Julie will provide an overview, context and immediately actionable tips/tools as we roll up our sleeves together to address:
- The mindset shift: from problem-solver to coach and capability-builder
- How to build communication alignment and speak ‘their language’
- Conflict styles & what to do with each as well as how to reframe conflict as collaboration for greater productivity
- Frameworks for tough conversations that actually solve problems
- How you can help move your organization out of avoidance and into productive dialogue as their internal coach
As a participant, you will receive Julie’s practical guidance to help you navigate those hard conversations in a productive way with her HR as Coach GPS Guide.
Free to members; $25 for guests. SHRM & HRCI credit eligible.
