HRPCPA April Chapter Meeting: The HR Advisor: Coaching, Influence & Conflict Mastery for Impactful Leadership & Organizational Relationships

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 (7:30 AM - 9:30 AM) (EDT)

Description

You’re a great HR practitioner; you know your stuff! But have you ever felt derailed or frustrated for being held accountable for things over which you have little control and/or you tend to ‘butt’ heads with certain supervisors, managers or key leaders? Sound familiar? You’re not alone!

Join us as career development leader, Julie Shore, shares what she’s learned as a former HR leader, and career advisor for the past 25+ years. Specifically, Julie will provide an overview, context and immediately actionable tips/tools as we roll up our sleeves together to address:

  1. The mindset shift: from problem-solver to coach and capability-builder
  2. How to build communication alignment and speak ‘their language’
  3. Conflict styles & what to do with each as well as how to reframe conflict as collaboration for greater productivity
  4. Frameworks for tough conversations that actually solve problems
  5. How you can help move your organization out of avoidance and into productive dialogue as their internal coach

As a participant, you will receive Julie’s practical guidance to help you navigate those hard conversations in a productive way with her HR as Coach GPS Guide.
