Harrisburg Regional Veterinary Surgical Specialty (HRVSS) is the only 100% surgery center with a Board-certified surgeon in the region.

We specialize in orthopedic, “soft tissue” and cancer surgery for dogs and cats, with a huge emphasis on pain management and safe anesthesia.

The most common procedure at HRVSS is ACL surgery, followed by broken bones, tumor and cancer removal, dislocated joints, and reconstructive surgery.

Phil Zeltzman, a Board-certified surgeon for 16 years, has assembled a team of highly qualified veterinary nurses with an absolute passion for helping animals.

They use “fear-free” and “low-stress” techniques on all patients. Our treatment sheets actually include regular “TLC” in addition to regular pain medications and antibiotics.

We have helped pets from all over the Greater Harrisburg region, including York and Lancaster.

We have even treated cats and dogs from far away in Pennsylvania (State College, Pittsburgh, Scranton...), New Jersey, New York (State and City), Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and even Ohio!
