Commercial Estimator – Landscape Construction

Dover, PA | Based on Experience | Full-Time

Strathmeyer Landscape is looking for a Commercial Estimator ready to take ownership of the bid process, help drive business growth, and be a key part of a team that values professionalism, precision, and people.

Job Description:

• Review and analyze all phases of commercial landscape bids — scope, specs, plans, site maps, and more
• Accurately prepare detailed cost estimates, material takeoffs, and bid packages
• Submit all bids on time
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and qualifications
• Communicate timelines and bid data clearly to internal teams
• Follow up on submitted bids and proposals with clients and contractors
• Ensure complete project documentation and seamless pass-offs to production teams
• Participate in business development and client engagement when needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in estimating (landscape or construction industry preferred)
• Strong math, analytical, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,) Blue Beam and project management software
• Experience reading blueprints, site maps, and specs
• Confidence working with all personality types — clients, suppliers, internal teams
• A team-first attitude and strong organizational habits
