Communications Specialist

Responsibilities
The Communications Specialist supports our internal and external communications efforts. The role is responsible for crafting clear, engaging content, supporting media outreach, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Write, edit, and proofread content for internal and external communications.
• Support the implementation of communication strategies that promote organizational objectives.
• Assist with internal communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
• Assist with corporate award nominations and submissions.
• Help develop materials such as talking points, FAQs, presentations, and email campaigns.
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and public perception; prepare reports and summaries as needed.
• Assist with media outreach, press inquiries, and maintaining media lists.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, and other departments to produce aligned content and campaigns.
SKILLS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and content management systems
• Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
• Ability to sit for extended time periods
• Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
• Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
