Electrical Engineer / Reliability Engineer - What Will You Do?
- Complete on-site electrical system assessments. Document existing system configuration, equipment ratings, conductor lengths, conductor ampacities, overcurrent protective device information, and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Create and analyze single-line diagrams for each facility's electrical systems, reporting problems with equipment sizing, device coordination, and short circuit protection.
- Installation arc flash labeling and signs, coordination personal protective equipment acquisition, and training operators to use arc flash safety procedures and equipment.
- Conduct visual and thermal evaluation of electrical equipment.
- Report electrical hazards or code violations with recommendations for correction.
- Other electrical and power systems duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?
- A minimum of two years of electrical engineering education, engineering calculation experience, and related field experience is required. In lieu of education, five years of practical industrial electrical experience with arc flash analysis is acceptable.
- Must have the ability to understand installed electrical distribution systems, electrical schematic diagrams, and engineering documents.
- Must have the ability to create electrical schematic diagrams.
- Must possess knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and OSHA requirements in relation to arc flash and electrical distribution.
- Self-directed and motivated to solve problems in the field with little or no supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Overnight travel and on-site field work in required.
- Knowledge of Easy Power or equivalent is a plus.
- Must have professional written and verbal communication skills.
