Senior Programs Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced full-time Senior Programs Coordinator responsible for providing support to the Senior Programs Manager by facilitating coordination of the CPFB’s Senior food box programs, the federally funded Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and our privately funded ElderShare Program, within our 27-county service territory. With serving more than 7,000 seniors, the Senior Programs Coordinator will place monthly food box orders for over 100 program sites, provide outreach and dialogue to our program partners and the seniors that we serve, track metrics, run reports that track monthly results of the program, and provide assistance, as needed, to the Senior Programs Manager and larger Agency Services and Programs Department.

Job Accountabilities:

•Assist with the development and maintenance of necessary program and promotional materials.

•Responsible for the development of monthly distribution calendars, daily orders to the warehouse for deliveries/pickups to relevant distribution sites as well as the applicable roster sheets (including waiting lists).

•Assist with monthly CSFP inventory reconciliations and oversight of product receipt and inventory cycle counts.

•Maintain all records, filing, and paperwork on participants and ensure all registration materials are up to date.

•Provide prompt communication to site coordinators and neighbor inquiries and/or complaints.

•Assist with required annual trainings for site coordinators at all distribution sites.

•Assist in conducting monitoring visits and site visits of Senior Programs sites and other Food Bank partner agencies.

•Assist in outreach efforts to promote awareness of hunger-related issues, serve on community hunger coalitions, provide presentations to community organizations or corporations, etc.

•Participate in CPFB’s major events as necessary, i.e., fundraisers, agency-wide events, etc., as well as off-site outreach events and networking.

•Participate in internal committees and workgroups as required.

•Perform other duties and tasks assigned.

•In instances of a federal, state or locally declared emergency, CPFB is typically considered an essential service and emergency responder; all employees may be called in to perform regular or emergent duties.

Education and Experience:

Education:

•High school diploma or GED required.

•College education and/or additional training and certifications are a plus.


Experience:

•Two years’ administrative assistance experience in a non-profit or human service role preferred

•Ability to operate standard office equipment (machines, tools, and devices) used in performing essential functions, which include computer, typewriter, calculator, photocopier, fax machine, and phone system.


Physical Requirements or Licenses:

•This position will work the majority of the work week in the office, with some flexibility to work hybrid at the discretion of the SVP/Chief Programs Officer or based on the needs of the organization.

•Ability to successfully complete a Pennsylvania State Police Clearance, a Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance obtained through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and a Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Record Information obtained by submitting a full set of fingerprints to the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

•A valid driver’s license with history of a good driving record.

•Ability to travel that may include consecutive overnight stays, and traveling by car, bus, and airplane.

•Conditions may include working outside in inclement weather, working closely with others, working alone, and working protracted or irregular hours.

•Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.

•The work environment is typically quiet.
