Bowl for a Cause with Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region invites you to Bowl for Kids’ Sake and defend the potential of youth in your community.

Harrisburg, PA (March 5, 2024)Bowl for a cause this spring! You are invited to join Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region (BBBSCR) at your local bowling alley for the biggest bowling party in the region!

BBBSCR’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake event, sponsored by Hershey’s Chocolate World, raises vital funds to sustain mentoring relationships and support over 1,000 youth across their 5-county service area each year. Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Community members, families, clubs, companies, and organizations are invited to participate in Bowl for Kids’ Sake and defend the potential of the youth in their communities.

“Bowl for Kids’ Sake allows us to raise necessary funding to not only sustain our services but to grow and enhance the programming we offer,” says Amanda Dunn BBBSCR Vice President of Programs. “We serve such a diverse region, and we need community and corporate support from each of our five counties to better serve our families and our youth that live in those communities.”

Bowl for Kids’ Sake teams are made up of five individuals. Each team is asked to raise $500 collectively (or $100 a person), although everyone is encouraged to think big and raise above the minimum. Prizes will be awarded to the top individual fundraiser and the highest team fundraiser. BBBSCR is expecting to reach a goal of $140,000 raised this year.

All proceeds from Bowl for Kids’ Sake stay local, supporting the youth within the communities that are raising the funds. To celebrate everyone’s support, each team at Bowl for Kids’ Sake will enjoy two hours of bowling, free shoe rentals, pizza, drinks, music, t-shirts and raffle prizes.
