CARLISLE, PA – Charles R. Nebel Jr., a Boyer & Ritter Principal and head of the firm’s Carlisle office, has received Shippensburg University’s 2024 Exceptional Service Award.

The award is the Shippensburg University Alumni Association’s highest honor and recognizes those who give unselfishly of their time and efforts to better the university.

Nebel, a CPA with nearly 40 years of experience in the field, joined Boyer & Ritter in 1988. He heads the firm’s Manufacturing practice group and supports the Entrepreneurial Business Services and Nonprofit Services groups. 

He earned a BS in Accounting and an MBA from Shippensburg University. Nebel served as controller for the Shippensburg University Foundation from 1985 to 1988.
