Central Penn College proudly announces the promotion of Joe Caviston to Director of Marketing and Communications.

Caviston has emerged as a leader on the college's Marketing, Communications, and Advancement teams over the past decade, creating clear, compelling digital content, print materials, and events, contributing to the college's recruitment and retention efforts and reputation for academic and athletic excellence.

A native of Carbondale, near Scranton, he has also served as a member of the alumni board of trustees at East Stroudsburg University, his alma mater.

He began his career at the 144-year-old Central Penn College as a Digital Communications Associate, steadily advancing through the ranks to positions that included Digital Communications Strategist and Associate Director of Communications, a position he held since 2023.

In the past decade, Caviston streamlined the college's digital communications, accelerating its inventive digital footprint across all platforms and establishing a robust and engaging social media presence. His creative efforts have resulted in consistent, high-quality content creation and storytelling that has enhanced the college's visibility.

Caviston has earned the Above and Beyond Staff Excellence Award at Central Penn and three Team Spirit Awards. His leadership has been instrumental in the success of many signature events, including Fall Harvest, Burgers and Brews, Party on the Patio, The Champ music venue series and various fundraising initiatives. He also completed the President’s Leadership Academy in 2021 and has been chosen multiple times as Staff Member of the Quarter. He has been a leader in efforts to promote the college's business and health care offerings.

Caviston resides in Camp Hill with his wife, Amanda, their son Joey, and their dog, Cora-Lou (Holtz) Caviston.
