Hospice of Central PA Recognized with Prestigious 2025 Hospice Honors Elite Award
Hospice of Central PA is proud to announce it has been named a recipient of the 2025 Hospice Honors Elite award, a prestigious national recognition presented by HealthCare First, a part of MatrixCare. This honor celebrates Hospice of Central PA’s excellence in delivering compassionate, high-quality care, and fostering positive patient and caregiver experiences. MatrixCare offers industry-leading software solutions for facility-based and home-based care organizations to improve efficiency and provide exceptional care.
The Hospice Honors Elite designation places Hospice of Central PA among the top-performing hospice organizations in the United States. It reflects outstanding performance as measured by the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) satisfaction scores from calendar year 2024. The Elite status is awarded to hospices that not only exceed national benchmarks, but do so across 24 out of 24 evaluated quality indicators related to patient and family satisfaction. Quality indicators range from communication with family to emotional and spiritual support, and training for family caregivers.
“This award is a powerful testament to the dedication, compassion and expertise of our entire team,” said Steve Knaub, President & CEO of Choices Healthcare, parent organization of Hospice of Central PA. “Being named a Hospice Honors Elite recipient means that our patients and their families truly felt supported, respected and cared for during one of life’s most vulnerable moments. We’re honored to serve our community and proud to receive this national recognition.”
The Hospice CAHPS Honors program is a national initiative that shines a spotlight on hospice agencies that continuously deliver superior care experiences. By highlighting organizations that excel in patient satisfaction and quality of care, the program sets a standard of excellence within the industry and celebrates those who go above and beyond in service to others.
