Please join Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) and community leaders from across the Commonwealth for Main Street Matters Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 21st from 8:30–11:30am in Harrisburg, PA.

The morning will kick off with a Meet & Greet with Legislators from 8:30–10:00am in Hearing Room #3 in the North Office Building. Join fellow PDC members, legislators, and community leaders for coffee, light refreshments, and networking ahead of the day’s events. We encourage you to invite your local legislators and community partners to attend and ask that they register in advance.

Following the Meet & Greet, we will proceed to the steps of the Capitol Rotunda for the Main Street Matters press event from 10:30–11:30am. This is a key opportunity to demonstrate a strong, unified voice in support of policies and funding that strengthen downtowns, neighborhoods, and communities across Pennsylvania.

After the press event, we encourage participants to schedule meetings with their local legislators and staff throughout the day. These conversations are critical to sharing the impact of your work and reinforcing the importance of Main Street and Elm Street programs. PDC staff and board members are available to accompany you in meetings if requested.

Advocacy Day is an opportunity for downtown leaders, Main Street and Elm Street managers, board members, municipal officials, and community partners to come together and ensure decision-makers understand the value of investing in Pennsylvania’s communities. Whether you are experienced in advocacy or new to engaging with legislators, this day is for you—PDC will provide resources and guidance to help you feel prepared and supported.
