Medard’s House Hosts Community Event Announcing Expansion Plans
Medard’s House, a nonprofit, which provides services for youth, is hosting a Community Day Open House on August 17th from 6-8PM at 1120 Drexel Hills Blvd. in New Cumberland.
The event is a unique opportunity for the community to:
•Tour the facility.
•Get involved.
•Learn about upcoming expansion plans.
The organization provides enrichment programs after school and during summer months for youth grades 6-12. The organization’s program allows youth a safe place to gather and socialize, with access to enrichment programs, in addition to fun events such as a fire pit night and access to an indoor rock-climbing wall. The non-profit operates out of a building located in New Cumberland Borough a short distance from Cedar Cliff High School but currently serves a much bigger area as transportation is available to youth both to and from the facility. Chief Operating Officer, Douglas Knepp, states “This event is an open invitation to the entire community. For those that may have heard of us but are not sure about what we do, this is a terrific opportunity to tour our place before the start of the school year. We will also be making a big announcement at the event that our neighbors will not want to miss!” Those that are unable to attend the event can access the center for youth’s website at www.medardshouse.org to learn more about the organization and its plans.
