Regenerative Energy Initiative to Open Net Zero Energy Building to the Public October 7

Regenerative Energy Initiative is inviting the community to experience Net Zero energy in action during a free Open House on Wednesday, October 7, from 10 AM to 7 PM at its Net Zero Energy Building in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. Held in celebration of National Energy Efficiency Day, the event will give visitors an opportunity to explore the building, learn about Regen's work and see how energy-efficient systems and technologies work together to help a building achieve Net Zero.

Throughout the day, visitors can take mini tours of the Net Zero Building, with no advance registration required, and learn about the technologies and building systems operating behind the scenes. Guests can also explore Regen's educational learning space, including its rentable classroom, new educational displays and tour resources. The Regen team will be available to talk with visitors about the organization's new name, focused mission, programs, partnerships and opportunities to get involved.

The Open House will also feature free electronics recycling from 11 AM to 1 PM and 4 to 6 PM. A variety of unwanted electronics will be accepted, including computers and monitors, televisions, printers, gaming systems, phones, cameras, stereos, small household electronics and more. Visitors who cannot attend during the designated recycling periods can request an alternate drop-off time during the Open House in advance.

Visitors can also make a lunch stop part of their visit. Queen V Wraps Food Truck is scheduled to be on site beginning at 11 AM, with wraps, salads, nachos, sandwiches and drinks available for purchase. Cash and cards will be accepted.

The Open House is free and open to the public, and no RSVP is required for general admission. Individuals, families, educators, students, businesses and community organizations are welcome to stop by anytime between 10 AM and 7 PM at 4250 Independence Drive, Schnecksville, PA 18078. Additional information, including recycling guidelines and options to request an in-depth or future building tour, is available on the Regenerative Energy Initiative Open House webpage.
