Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, August 10, 2023 – Scott Appel, the former founder and CEO of Touch of Color Flooring, sold his shares of TOC Flooring two years ago to start manufacturing his own line of interior home products called Frontier Surfaces in 2021. Frontier Surfaces (FS) sells flooring, cabinets, counters, and millwork to United States and Canadian based big box stores, flooring distributors, mass merchandisers, and many of North America's largest flooring dealers.

In this latest acquisition of Builder Flooring Solutions (BFS), a Pennsylvania-based contract flooring company that services builders, developers, and multifamily property owners, Appel gets right back to his roots in the contract flooring world.

Builder Flooring Solutions has quickly become one of the largest contract flooring firms in Pennsylvania. BFS supplies and installs flooring, carpet, cabinets, and countertops up and down the East Coast. Given Appel's 20-year history of growing and building this type of business, he is ready to help BFS soar to new heights.

In this new venture, Appel has partnered with fellow industry veteran Geoff Graydon, who will remain president of Builder Flooring Solutions while Appel takes on the position of CEO.

Speaking further to explain his relationship with Geoff Graydon, Appel stated, "Geoff is one of the best in the industry at building businesses, and I could not be more excited to grow this business with him."

Scott Appel has a BS in Criminal Justice, a MEd in Secondary Education, and an MBA in Business Management. He lives in Harrisburg with his beautiful wife, Hannan, and their five children. In his free time, Scott loves to travel, exercise, and spend time with his family doing anything outside.

Before starting Builder Flooring Solutions in September 2021, Graydon worked at Emser Tile as a Regional Sales Manager. He was instrumental in developing sales growth across multiple segments and played a key role in developing business in new territories. Prior to Emser, he worked at Coleman Flooring and Creative Touch Interiors, where he held various management positions. Geoff also worked for Toll Brothers as a Land Development Manager.

Graydon earned a bachelor's degree in Geosciences from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his amazing wife Susan and their two children.
